There’s always room for more shoes

26 Feb

I hope you’ll agree with me on this one when you finish reading this post 🙂

Bally is a brand for sophisticated people; Jennifer Aniston was more likely to wear the shoes from Switzerland than Lady Gaga:

I think Charlotte Olympia works by the motto “don’t change a winning formula” and she really sticks to it. She designed those sky-high platform pumps a few years ago, and she only changes the “carrosserie” since then. Works every time!

There are fake Charlotte Olympia shoes all over the world, the pair worn here by Katy Perry is no exception, so be careful if you buy heels online.

Rebecca Romijn wore Balmain sandals a few weeks ago:

Rachel McAdams has chosen these pointy toe pumps by Jimmy Choo:

Lea Michele decided to wear Jimmy Choo at the People’s Choice Awards:

However, Lea’s heart belongs to Casadei. It’s not the first time she wore these pumps:

It’s been a while since I last posted Rupert Sanderson shoes. Amber Heard wore the Estelle sandals to the Michael Kors show at the New York Fashion Week:

Walter Steiger is back in the game too. Malin Akerman has recently shown her love for the brand on two occassions:

Victoria Beckham even collaborates with Walter Steiger. She tweeted: “Walter Steiger for #victoriavictoriabeckham -presenting tomorrow! X vb”

Two days later, she wore those ankle boots to the launch of her collection:

This is it for now, here’s the posting schedule for this week:

  • Model Monday (surprise) on Monday with pictures from London and Milan
  • Giuseppe Zanotti post on Wednesday
  • Christian Louboutin post on Friday
  • Best of February post on Sunday.

Winter IS here

28 Nov

There are these six girls living in various big cities of the world, all of them are aware of the fact that winter is approaching. The High Heel Times has asked them to show their three favorite shoes: the one that they would wear at work, the one that they would pull on if they’d go to a party and their boots for the colder days.

Whitney‘s selection surely has been influenced by a certain socialite’s look and she loves to wear the flat OTK boots when shopping.

Imogen in LA is neither afraid of winter nor of spending a lot of money. She also likes to keep it high and I can’t blame her.

Nicole is like the perfect British girl: trendy when at work, wears sky-high heels when she goes to a party and keeps it comfy and casual in her free time.

Thérése is classy. She wears elegant pumps to work, crazy mohawk pumps at du club and designer boots that are totally in right now.

Elisabetta living “next door” likes to look fab as well. The hot pair by Valentino grabbed her attention as well, but she prefers the flat one for work. Her heels for the night out are spectacular, just like her fluffy boots.

Rumiko mixes it all: lace up ankle boots for work, wild boots (?) for parties and statement boots for colder days.

How do you like what you see? What do you like these days?

News: Rupert Sanderson

24 Nov

It’s been a while since shoes by Rupert Sanderson were featured on the blog. The time has come to change that.

First of all, look at these very simple wedge booties that Kylie wore a few days ago in London:

If you’re still looking for boots this winter, but you’re not really into heels and prefer something more comfortable, this one might just be the one for you.

We don’t have to wait too much longer for spring  to arrive (sorry Swedish readers), so let’s take a look at Rupert Sanderson’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

This season sees Rupert Sanderson beautifully evolve some of his classics, as well as encompassing fresh styles and shapes, brand new to the Rupert Sanderson repertoire. The colour palette is perfect for summer: soft, warm hues in addition to graphic prints and multi-coloured brights.

Part 3:

I can’t decide which one I like the most. My favorites are definitely Picardy, Hydra, Estelle and even Lima.

The brand is getting bigger and bigger, they have now stores not only in London (Mayfair, Knightsbridge) but also in Paris (remember Miss Glitzy writing about it?) and Hong Kong!

Polydress for November 2009

29 Nov

After almost a week of absence, I’m back with a dress made on Polyvore.

The main concept was to create a set with evening dresses – of course with fabulous shoes. Are the shoes the X-Factor?

I hope you like it and maybe you’ve found your new love regarding both the dresses and the shoes.

The shoes are made by L.A.M.B., Jimmy Choo, Rupert Sanderson, Halston, Thakoon and Christian Louboutin.

Details of the dresses are available here.
