Update on Yves Saint Laurent shoes

15 Jan

Since I haven’t really posted YSLs lately, it was high time to do a megapost with pictures of the famous Tribute pumps and other heels designed by the house. By now everyone knows that the Tribtoo simply cannot be hidden in the wardrobe, it is still “in”, especially because new, somewhat modified Tribtoos appeared in the stores – those are in this post as well.

YSL fans, enjoy! 🙂

The night begins (and usually ends) barefoot:

Jennifer Love Hewitt wears these golden YSL sandals often:

First generation Tribute platforms can still be spotted:

YSL Tribtoo pumps on Tamara Ecclestone and Lily Aldridge:

Sarah Michelle Gellar (5’2) and Amanda Seyfried (5’3) need those extra inches:

Paula Abdul went for a brighter color version:

Britney owns YSL boots, while Salma Hayek has a slingback Tribtoo:

Alexa Vega is a big fan for sure:

As promised, here are the new, 2012 YSL Tribtoos, brought to you by Carmen Electra and Brandy Norwood:

Austrian TV host Mirjam Weichselbraun bought YSL heels too:

Last but not least here are the very good looking wedges, worn here by Mariah Carey and Emily Procter:

That’s it, come back tomorrow to see the new Model Monday post!

Cooler than cool

24 Feb

Fashion Weeks obviously dominate these days, no wonder this post starts with Karolina Kurkova and her Michael Kors heels (she wore them to Michael Kors’ 30th Anniversary Party too):

Be prepared to spend around $1.300 if you really like this pair… 5.5″ heels, 1″ platform.

Next up this is a designer we never had on the blog: Fergie. I mean, the brand. The shoes are much cheaper than those Michael Kors heels. The first one costs $110, the second even less, $89. Both have seriously high, 5.75″ heels!

Brian Atwood‘s Summer 2011 collection can already get spotted:

You can get Atwood heels in different colors too, don’t you worry 🙂

To close this post with, here are a few YSL sightings of recent weeks:

Check back in a few days for the new post!

Boots of the summer

25 Aug

In case you’re not living in South Africa like Jasna, the months June, July and August aren’t usually considered as the time for boots (my apologies to other readers not mentioned living in the Southern Hemisphere and to those in Siberia).

However, celebrities lead the way in basically everything, especially in fashion, so it shouldn’t be shocking to see them wearing boots in 90F. Or…should it? I let you decide, here’s a compilation of famous and not-that-famous ladies wearing boots in the middle of summer.

I wonder what’s your opinion about this topic.

Is this question strictly related to the outside temperatures or is it okay to wear boots whenever you want to (let’s just forget about Uggs for a moment, okay?!)?

For me, I’d be quite definitely surprised to see someone wearing boots in August, but I live in a developing country regarding fashion.
