Boots worn this Spring

1 Apr

To be honest, I wanted to post all the boots I spot each month, but I did not have the time to do it. It might have been good for you to see what’s trendy this time around.

It is still possible to catch up though, and this is exactly what I try to achieve with this post. Here are boots that celebrities wore in February and March.

Are there any that are similar to what you’ve worn this winter?

Are that any that you’d buy?

Are there any that are creepy considering it’s 2011?

Have a nice weekend, check back frequently as I shall post both on Saturday and Sunday!

Pure magic

10 Nov

Today is a big day for fashion industry as the Victoria’s Secret Show is going to be taped today (and is going to be aired on Tuesday, the 30th of November). Yesterday it became clear for the public who the 36 lucky girls are to walk the show.

Click to see the pictures in their original size – details!

The “Angels” and “VS Supermodels” are the usual:

Adriana Lima
Alessandra Ambrosio
Chanel Iman
Candice Swanepoel (!!!)
Behati Prinsloo
Erin Heatherton
Lily Aldridge
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Isabeli Fontana
Lindsay Ellingson
Jessica Stam (!!!)
Emanuela de Paula
Maryna Linchuk
Magdalena Frackowiak
Edita Vilkeviciute
Anja Rubik (!!!)
Karolina Kurkova
Izabel Goulart (!!!)
Selita Ebanks
Katsia Damenkova
Abbey Lee Kershaw
Liu Wen
Flavia Oliveira
Anne Vyalitsyna
Constance Jablonski
Gracie Carvalho
Laís Ribeiro
Lily Donaldson (!!!)
Shannan Click
Fabiana Seprebom
Julia Stegner
Heloise Guerin
Jacquelyn Jablonski
Caroline Winberg
Martha Streck
Fernanda Tavares (!!!)

Some sources say Adriana will open and Lily D will close the show.

Notably absent from the show are Heidi Klum (Heidi and VS parted ways), Miranda Kerr (pregnant), Doutzen Kroes (pregnant), Marisa Miller, Enikő Mihalik and Ana Beatriz Barros. For this show, you need bombshells, not simply good couture models – leaving out these three girls is more than surprising! Abbey Lee being sexy? Reeeally?

Seeing these ladies might be inspiring enough to go to the gym again or buy Jillian “I’mgoingtomakeyousuffer” Michaels’ new DVD 🙂

Let move on to shoes, right?

The YSL Tribute Double Platform is still in everyone’s closet!

Obviously, Kim is a big fan! But she’s not the only one:

There is an endless variation of colors and textures!

Jenny McCarthy is not afraid of making dangerous moves!

The ankle boots are popular as well:

Oh Ashlee, this is a pretty look 🙂

Christina Ricci was a bit late by debuting her T2 in October 2010, nevertheless, her ensemble has been fine.

A few boots by Christian Louboutin for those who are not afraid of being sexy:

Btw, does anyone know the designer of that accessoire that Kim has been wearing on her arm/around her neck?

To close this post, trendy Jimmy Choo boots for the winter:

Pointy toes are back, you might want to have boots like that.

Over-the-knee boots are hot again this season.

That’s all for now, I guess I’ve posted plenty of stuff this time 🙂

Out of this world

27 Oct

I hardly know where to start.

Okay, the first one to tell you should be the good news that a couple of work-related hard weeks are now behind me, I should be back to normal again and visit your great blogs again.

A few days ago I’ve seen a huge exhibition about the work of Martin Munkacsi, one of (fashion)photography’s greatest figures in history. Talk about inspiration and role models…

But let’s get to the point, let’s talk about shoes.

So, what’s new, you’d ask. Well…

There’s this pair by Brian Atwood. Usually, his name means something good, but these particular heels generate mixed feelings in me. To be honest, I’m not sure about this one. Needless to say, I’m more than okay with Cheryl‘s look.

His inspiration could have been either go-go heels (does the name Taylor Momsen ring any bells?) or Prada’s chandelier heels. This is something in between. Anyway, I’m not a fan of transparent plastic, it looks so cheap – of course, these shoes aren’t cheap at all, at least I don’t consider a pair of shoes for $1.300 cheap. the heels are 15 cm high while the platform is 3 cm.

To my female readers: I present you your next girl crush.

These Calvin Klein heels can make anyone 6’2″.

Gwyneth‘s pair is less high and it is much more sophisticated, isn’t it?

Oh look, Kate Hudson had to get rid of her heels (and apparently of her hair dresser)! She tries to keep up with Gwyneth anyway 🙂

It’s been almost exactly two years since I’ve started blogging, and this is designer René Caovilla‘s first appearance on my blog. Shame on me.

The first one is a fabulous pair of the Spring-Summer 2010 collection, worn here by Katherine Heigl (in two different colors):

The Swarovski-fever continues in the Fall-Winter 2010 collection:

The last pair of heels in this post has been posted some weeks ago already, but back then I had no idea who the designer was. Now I know the designer and the marvelous Tricia Helfer gave me a reason to post it again:

11,5 cm heels and a hefty price tag: $1162 (at LUISAVIAROMA).

Now it’s time for me to let you drool about these shoes. Bye-bye!

Atwood and YSL megapost

27 Jul

Because of my trip to London (yay!) I’m not sure when I’ll post again, so I leave you with a massive post of Brian Atwood’s pumps and YSL’s renaissance till then!

Now, the YSL part:

Obviously, YSL shoes have an evolution but also older pairs are worn again. They turned out to be proper classic designs! Are you OK with that or do you think YSL needs to release something new again?

I hope to be able to post on Thursday again, until then, good bye!

PS: If you have any (fashion related) suggestions what I should see in London next week, drop me a line! I know about the ‘Maison Martin Margiela ’20’ ‘ exhibition already, I hope to see something else as well. TY!
