Drool-Worthy Shoes

18 Aug

/me is back again. Short trips during the summer don’t make bloggers’ life any easier πŸ™‚

I hope you’ve found already your shoe love of the summer. If not, it’s still not too late, here’s some inspiration:

Btw, I like her whole look!

Everyone’s favorite voice has a pretty good taste in shoes!

Wedges or sandals, Stella McCartney has it for you:

/This figure can’t be achieved by her Barbie-fitness-like DVD…/

Last but not least here’s how Stuart Weitzman appears in Gossip Girl:

SW calls these slingbacks “extreme platforms”. Let’s be honest, the glass heels by Fendi or the stripper heels by Versace could be called extreme platforms, but not these πŸ™‚

Okay, verdicts? πŸ˜€

“I’m, I’m sky high”

21 Apr

Good news! There are plenty of new and marvelous shoes to present!

To start with, I have a quick reminder on the “Ulona” heels by Mr Louboutin that I’ve mentioned here already. Those of you who feel the same way about this shiny LV bag as I do (=it’s way too ostentatious), feel free to start share your thoughts πŸ™‚

I wonder how many members of the Kardashian family are registered unemployed, because as far as I know she doesn’t have a job either πŸ™‚ The question rises: would someone employ them? Okay I stop it.

Now, this Spring you ladies in the blogosphere were blown away by this shoe. I wonder if you still like them or not. IMO these heels are still gorgeous (let’s put the disturbing shape of the owner aside).

I guess you might have to think about buying this shoe with a very clear mind (I feel like I can’t emphasize enough the importance of the word “clear”): $1140 and next to the 5 cm platform there’s also a 15 cm heel to handle.

The next beauty is manufactured by Lanvin, the alignment of the chain seems to be variable:

This ain’t cheap either: $1900, though it’s quite user-friendly: 1 cm platform and 12 cm heel.

The third new player on the pitch is the following pair:

Looks good, doesn’t it? 3 cm platform, 13 cm heel, Miu Miu quality for $755.

But if you’re looking for something even more “exotic” and for a stunner of the caliber of the Fendi heels, here’s the one for you:

Too bad the otherwise excellent Kim pulled the jeans over it.

The facts: $805, 3 cm platform, 15 cm heel…Do you need to practice?

I hope you’re in the state of staring at the monitor and repeating OMG OMG over and over again πŸ™‚

I’ll be back on Sunday and instead of the Polyvore post I’m going to have a really special guest here! I encourage you my dear Readers to stop by for a few minutes!

Please don’t…

15 Nov

Unfortunately there were some bad shoe-selections this month again…Not as bad as usual (I’m ignoring Shauna Sand a Bai Ling already), but it still hurts.

Just take a look at Jessica Simpson. She’s wearing the YSL T2 (yes, it’s November 2009…), but then she decides to hurt me even more and takes them off (her feet might have been hurting after some hours of wearing it). Please please please, don’t walk barefoot with your shoes in your hands!

Then, oh my world, there was Cat and Paris. Let’s not talk about the Jimmy Choo for H&M project in general, we’ll talk about that later. Let’s just look at this:

Why weren’t they able to put on a pair of the new collection like everybody else? This is ridiculous in my opinion!

THE update

10 Apr

Low bandwith users, be careful…

Hi there, I’m still here, though I had no time to post this week. I know posting doesn’t take too much time usually, but this time, trust me it takes:)

The reason for that is that I’ve made the update I’ve written about here. This update tries to show which shoes are the most popular these days among the (wannabe)famous women. I’m sure the list isn’t full; the pictures that I’ve used for this post have been made between January and the very recent days πŸ™‚

I suppose you click on the images to see all the details; the pictures here are thumbnails compared to the originals.

Let’s start with YSL and it’s oldest hit, the Tribute pump, mentioned here already:

Next, it’s the Tribute Platform T-Strap, that is maybe even more successfull than the the TP. I’ve written about them here and here.

Now, it’s time for the biggest sensation, the Tribute Double Platform. Posts about this can be found here and here.

Now that you have enough of YSL, I change the subject, it’s time for a certain Mr Choo πŸ™‚ You can find the post about the Corsica sandal here and you can see the one with the Glenys by clicking here.

Jimmy Choo’s biggest rival, Christian Louboutin has also got returning costumers. Did you think I wouldn’t post anything about le magicien? πŸ™‚ Two sandals, which – now it’s sure – are making the biggest impact this summer are the:

(posted already here) and the

that I have mentioned here (Heidi Klum) and here (Audrina Partridge and Debra Messing).

Speaking of platform ankle sandals, I’m sure you remember Gucci‘s hit that I’ve written about here and over here. There are new fans on board! Unfortunately, I couldn’t include any pictures of La C.’s pair, because… πŸ˜‰

Last but not least, I’ve some other shoes which also got in the spotlight during the last few months:

You can see Jordana’s pumps here, Megan’s boots here, Vivica’s Balenciagas here and Rihanna’s marvellous sandals here and here.

I hope you enjoyed this little collection, maybe I’ve also encouraged you to buy a pair or two:)
