An update on YSL heels

22 Apr

The time has come to post a few Yves Saint Laurent shoes again.

The question is: boring or classic?

Even YSL has reached Germany/Austria!

To see what YSL has to offer these days, take a look at their collection!

The brand is quite popular even off the red carpet. TV presenters also like it! Click on the pictures to enlarge!

Here’s the wonderful Azucena Cierco of Telemundo:

And Mary Gamarra:

Meanwhile, over at Univision, Barbara Bermudo also chose to wear YSL:

This is it for now, I hope the YSL fans love what they see 🙂

Have a great weekend yourself, happy easter holidays!

Please don’t…

17 Oct

After a long-long time, sadly, the “Please don’t” post had to appear. Hopefully we all can agree on the following style mistakes.

To begin with, here’s a collage of badly chosen footwear – remember, these ladies did not go to the local store but they attended awards shows and movie premieres. I hope you see my point:

(By the way, I really like Bettina’s dress, it looks fab with that gigantic bow!)

The case of the next two ladies is a bit different. Lauren McKnight has to buy shoes that respect the shape of her feet and the fact that – as weird as it may sound – she does have toes.

Meanwhile, Sandy Mölling of No Angels is a victim of  the “stockings-sandals debate“. In my opinion, black stockings work well with black sandals – but most of the other combination of colors creates a strange look. Note that this case is different from the socks-sandals combination of the summer. I have to admit it’s far from horrible, but I could have imagined a better look.

Sooo, what’s your point of view? Verdicts?

The week starting tomorrow seems to be easier for me than this last one, expect to see post appearing more often and regularly!

xoxo 🙂

I’m gonna make you shake
I’m gonna make your hand shake

To get in the mood, let’s take a look a Stuart Weitzman‘s “Apron” pair which they call platform clogs – I’m more okay with the phrase platform sandals, because this pair is just not something I associate with clogs. Also, I don’t really like to see the word clogs on my blog, you know…they rarely look good.

These heels look good, don’t they? Solid pair, great price: costs only $375!

Christian Louboutin is next. Enough said.

/me loves the last dress. How interesting: everybody chose to wear this pair with a white dress. Celine has just bought a pair of it as well – she’s in love with them.

These three pairs are definitely the highlights of the current collection.

So far it was simple shoe porn, let’s take it to the next level 🙂

The first pair costs $500, the latter a bit more, $550.

I know I’ve presented one of the following Versace heels already, but I just can’t get enough of them. Opinions about the mega-platform pair are very controversial in the fashion world as I see, I’m on the positive side.

You’ve never grown 18 centimeters this quickly!

Charlize is in Versace literally from head to toe, the dress is FW2010 RTW too.

Apropos, Versace: I’ve received information about a giveaway – I guess many of you did. One can win $2500 to spend on their FW2010 collection by entering here. Could this be true? Open to US residents only.

So, you wanted to say something about your credit card 😉

Zee Germans

13 Aug

After a couple of days of absence [there’s so much work and travelling to do these days :S ] I’m back again to make a mega-post again, with a subject that will surprise many of you.

Mainly, because I bet you don’t know the people you’ll see in a few moments 🙂 Since I live in Europe, the German influence is massive in many parts of our everyday life. However, in the case of the shoes, shoe design, it’s a bit different.

It looks like the most famous ladies in the country that gave us Karl Lagerfeld, Jil Sander, Hugo Boss and Escada wouldn’t care that much about high-fashion, especially not about shoes, unlike their colleagues do in France, Britain or even in Italy. Of course, you can see some well-known pair every now and then, but I wonder what the reason behind this phenomenon is.

Now I’m going to show you a lot of German – even if some names don’t sound sooo German – ladies: TV hosts, singers, actresses, models, athletes, society chicks (aka useless people), bands.

I’m really interested in your opinions! How do you like what you see? Did you know any of them?
