Cooler than cool

24 Feb

Fashion Weeks obviously dominate these days, no wonder this post starts with Karolina Kurkova and her Michael Kors heels (she wore them to Michael Kors’ 30th Anniversary Party too):

Be prepared to spend around $1.300 if you really like this pair… 5.5″ heels, 1″ platform.

Next up this is a designer we never had on the blog: Fergie. I mean, the brand. The shoes are much cheaper than those Michael Kors heels. The first one costs $110, the second even less, $89. Both have seriously high, 5.75″ heels!

Brian Atwood‘s Summer 2011 collection can already get spotted:

You can get Atwood heels in different colors too, don’t you worry 🙂

To close this post with, here are a few YSL sightings of recent weeks:

Check back in a few days for the new post!

Louboutins and Siren Shoes

20 Oct

In the first part of the post, here are a few Louboutins, just to make sure everybody knows who’s in charge in the world of heels 🙂

I like Gemma’s outfit and the fact that she’s at the opening of a new Selfridges store. I am also amazed by Ciara’s calves, she should share her workout secrets.

The “Lady Peep” pumps worn by JLo seem to be pretty high!

I also like the Louboutin vs. YSL faceoff: Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.

Keep in mind that Demi’s “Ambertina” costs more than $2.000 – it is available in other striking colors and a glitzy-shiny edition too.

The hit of this summer is undoubtedly this pair, I really like it!

There is an interesting brand out there called Siren Shoes. I’ve visited their online home and I have to say there a lot of nice heels! Here are a few pictures of the store opening:

As the last part of this post, I share a video with you that’s been created by the fab team of Net-a-Porter.

For shoe lovers, it’s a must to watch this (if you haven’t already):

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Atwood and YSL megapost

27 Jul

Because of my trip to London (yay!) I’m not sure when I’ll post again, so I leave you with a massive post of Brian Atwood’s pumps and YSL’s renaissance till then!

Now, the YSL part:

Obviously, YSL shoes have an evolution but also older pairs are worn again. They turned out to be proper classic designs! Are you OK with that or do you think YSL needs to release something new again?

I hope to be able to post on Thursday again, until then, good bye!

PS: If you have any (fashion related) suggestions what I should see in London next week, drop me a line! I know about the ‘Maison Martin Margiela ’20’ ‘ exhibition already, I hope to see something else as well. TY!

Those Louboutins again!

2 Jun

As it has probably appeared to you, I haven’t been posting Louboutins too often lately. The reason for this is that they appear so frequently, that if I had always posted them in time, there wouldn’t have been enough time/space for other shoes. Luckily enough, Elise is busy with analyzing the work of the Frenchman, so if you’re looking for a Loubi-therapy, spend some time over at her place 🙂

However, my “to post” list of CL has grown so massive that I’ve decided it’s time to post parts of his genius work again.

To start with, I have the famous cage boots in various forms:

The Pigalle is officially timeless.

I’ve selected the following pictures because

  • Alicia Key’s version of these pumps is simply beautiful
  • I really like the whole look of Julie Benz (hair, coat, top, pants)
  • Top model Selita dons the original & the newest version of the Pigalle

The last pair is the shiny-shiny Poseidon, I like how it reflects light on the floor:

Do I see the older Heidi Montag in Victoria Silvstedt?

Hope you enjoyed it, now go shopping! 🙂
