Be special!

15 Apr

Today I’m back with shoes again, with Christian Louboutin’s products in the spotlight.

Apropos, spotlight, I guess everyone has seen his fantastic short film by now. I love it!

However, the first “guest” is Pierre Hardy and his bejeweled sandals:

Now let’s move on to the French designer. Looks like these girls have the same taste [though C has a better taste in hairstyles 🙂 ]!

This young Danish singer has her own style…

I’ve saved the “best” for last.

I mean, how much harm can you do to yourself?

I have to admit, her shoe choices are still spot on!

Why do I think that you have an opinion? 🙂

The crazier the better

Finally, I’m back on track and here we go again with another selection of three quite extreme pairs.

To start with the simplest of them, let’s take a look at LC’s beloved footwear these days:

I love the details of this sandal; well, we expect spectacular shoes from Givenchy, don’t we? It’s price is around $1200.

The next innovative pair is this:

Cool design, isn’t it? In case you’d like to buy a pair, you don’t have to save for such a long time, it costs only $360!

The craziest of today’s post is definitely the boots of the French magician. You could see Carine Roitfeld wearing it, and one of the most hated bitch girl of Hollywood, Heidi bought a pair as well. In my opinion, she looks great in the first outfit, the boots and the clothes match well. In the second outfit however, she managed to created the streetwalker-look, which might not have been the best choice of her life.

Nevertheless, the boots are awesome, if you’re brave enough and have a matching outfit (and $2000), go for it!

Tomorrow I’ll attend a fashion show again, I’m going to post the images of it along with those that I still haven’t ASAP. See you all on Sunday, ladies and gents!

The Shoe Girl wrote first about these…looks fantastic…$3400…

Fashion icons?

31 Jul

I guess a lot of you watch films, series and scream sometimes like “Ohmygosh I neeeed that!” Of course, that might be the case with tops, dresses, bags, shoes, whatever. But because this blog is about shoes, let’s focus on them.

For this post, I have captured moments when shoes appear on the screen. To do so, I have selected the following two films and two series:

Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is a classic movie, anyone who’s a fashion addict has seen it (at least I think so); it is an old classic. If I say old classic, you might already think there is a new classic. Yes, there is. “The devil wears Prada” is the new classic in my opinion, but correct me if I’m wrong.

As for the series, I have selected the fiction “Gossip Girl” and the less-fiction (yet I wouldn’t call it reality) “The Hills“. GG is the Land of Canaan for the fashionistas/dandies (long live Chuck Bass), while the Hills produces almost the same effect on the other side of the continent, in a less likeable frame for a lot of people (poor acting – not that I would be amazed by Blake Lively’s acting qualities – and Spencer).

I’ve used only the last 8 episodes of GG but the whole fifth season of the Hills.

Now I shut up and show those screencaps! Click to continue!

Sunday at Jimmy’s

17 May

It’s Sunday, and it’s the third one of the month, it’s time for the “Please don’t” post…Nope, not today, because this month has 5 Sundays, so I thought I’d do it on the 4th weekend and the Polydress on the 5th.

Wich means, today I have a “normal” post. This week was all about Christian Louboutin so far – it wouldn’t be fair not to show anyone else’s work, would it? There wouldn’t be anything better than to post Jimmy Choos, just to keep the balance:)

I know the Glenys have been on THHT already, but people can’t stop wearing them, just like they do it with the YSL Tribute Double Platform. No wonder they love it! Jordana’s Seattle is a new product, another choice for the summer. Just to sum up: 12 cm heel, slight platform, $830. Let’s see what else is new:

The platform booties are very new, especially in this color; could be reserved for a special occassion, if you’re able to spend $950 on it.

Speaking of special occassions, here is another one for you: the Sweden pumps cost only $400!

Kim’s sandals are less spectacular, but they also go for the “Sandals of the summer 2009” title. Of course, they are available in other colors as well. They are fitted with 12 cm heels and have a “Prize”-tag of $795.

That’s it for now, I’ll be back on Tuesday with a post full of Louis Vuittons, while on Thursday I’ll write (and what’s even more useful:  show pictures) about the shoe wearing habits of the Knowles-girls. The weekend will be spectacular this time: on Saturday I’ll post something really special and on Sunday the “Please don’t” magazine will arrive.

See you then, have a nice week!
