Jimmy Choo – Past, present, future

25 Jan

The big Jimmy Choo update has arrived, yay! This post has shoes worn by various celebrities during the last couple of months – these lucky ladies have chosen their footwear from the brand’s Spring-Summer 2011, Fall-Winter 2011 and Cruise 2012 collections.

Let’s start with a pair from the previous and current collection for the summer:

Franziska van Almsick’s pair has summer written all over it, while Alessandra Ambrosio’s Vita (Cruise 2012, 145 mm heel,  colors: nude, black, champagne, price around $730) has become almost a classic already.

Talk about classics! The Lance sandals, worn here by Emmy Rossum when visiting George Lopez last year, are from Jimmy Choo’s 24:7 collection. The heel height is 115 mm, it comes in orange, black, nude, red, gold metallic, silver metallic and in gold snakeskin. Prices range from $670 to $810 (snakeskin).

Part of the Pre-Fall collection is the Blade, worn here by Sylvie van der Vaart. 115 mm heel, comes in black color as well, and it costs around $780.

Greta is one of the shoes of the Icons collection – with 145 mm high heels and a price tag of $1000 it really is one! Emma Watson wore this one perfectly. You can have it in gold and in black.

Up next, this is Eros of the Autumn-Winter 2011 collection. The perfect shoe has caught the eye of both Jennifer Lopez and Sandra Bullock. The facts: $715, 145 mm heel, anthracite or black.

Shakira’s Sierra has 145 mm heels, costs $810 and it’s from the Cruise 2012 collection. FYI, the color is called champagne…Vanessa Minnillo’s Esam is from the AW 2011 collection, has 145 mm heels too, comes in nude and black, and costs a whopping $1500!

Now that we’ve reached the Cruise collection, here’s a campaign photo. I totally like it!

The pair called Beak is part of the collection, Stacy Keibler wore it when she visited Jimmy Fallon a few days ago.

Its color is defined as fuchsia, has 110 mm heels, costs $780.

The next one is the Surf, which has 120 mm heels, comes in nude color and will hurt your pocket as it costs $1350:

Thumbs up for Amanda Seyfried, good choice!

One pair really stands out from the crowd in my opinion, this are the wedge heeled sandals called Biel. The 110 mm high heels should not drive you crazy thanks to the design. You have few of colors to choose from though: blue or orange for $550, white with gold metallic heel for $580.

Brooklyn Decker wore both the Biel and the Anouk (120 mm, red, blue, black for $520, black  & white for $680):

Last but not least here’s Katy Perry and the fabulous Vibe. I think she really wanted people to notice her heels, and by getting them in blue and wearing with this dress she obviously find the way to get the attention:

That’s all at the moment, I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully you also have your mind set on at least one of these pairs 🙂

Zanotti and Louboutin fever

13 Jul

Giuseppe Zanotti is timeless.

Lately, many shoes of his not-so-recent collections hit the streets again:

Here’s how Kim Kardashian and Rosie Huntington wore the first pair and here is how Leighton Meester wore the one seen here on Kylie. The first pair costs $530, the second $1240!

Apropos, Kylie. Here are a few captures of a video in which a German TV explores her wardrobe, spending a lot of time in the shoes department 🙂

Video:

Her girlfriends “hate” her because her feet is so small, they can’t borrow any pair of her gigantic shoe collection 🙂

Another classic by Mr Zanotti worn here by the German swimming sensation Franziska van Almsick. Nicole Scherzinger dons a new design, “Sash” at the British X-Factor rehearsals:

Franzi’s pair costs around $620, Nicole’s a bit more, $1200!

The last one by Zanotti is a truly magnificent pair:

This is the most expensive pair of these Zanottis: it costs $1360!

Before we get to the Louboutins, here’s a pair by Azzedine Alaia:

Okay, sooo…Loubi-time! 😀

Apparently, the young 90210 star has a thing for the French designer:

Seeing the second and third row, I wonder who owns the Miss Chacha after all!

The hit of this summer, worn by more and more ladies:

Last but not least, a shoe that I should have posted long ago already:

Lovely, isn’t it?

Thanks for reading, I hope you’ve found a shoe to dream of tonight 🙂

Zee Germans

13 Aug

After a couple of days of absence [there’s so much work and travelling to do these days :S ] I’m back again to make a mega-post again, with a subject that will surprise many of you.

Mainly, because I bet you don’t know the people you’ll see in a few moments 🙂 Since I live in Europe, the German influence is massive in many parts of our everyday life. However, in the case of the shoes, shoe design, it’s a bit different.

It looks like the most famous ladies in the country that gave us Karl Lagerfeld, Jil Sander, Hugo Boss and Escada wouldn’t care that much about high-fashion, especially not about shoes, unlike their colleagues do in France, Britain or even in Italy. Of course, you can see some well-known pair every now and then, but I wonder what the reason behind this phenomenon is.

Now I’m going to show you a lot of German – even if some names don’t sound sooo German – ladies: TV hosts, singers, actresses, models, athletes, society chicks (aka useless people), bands.

I’m really interested in your opinions! How do you like what you see? Did you know any of them?
