The latest of Stuart Weitzman

31 Jul

It’s been a while since my last post about Stuart Weitzman’s shoes, but now the time has come to do an update, because the buzz is big around the brand.

To start with, here’s an ad from the magazine called Hamptons. I love this collaboration with Theodora & Callum, it has got summer written all over it. Perhaps it’s not too late to get a pair for yourself, August is still to come!

Ofc, there have been many celebrities spotted wearing Stuart Weitzman shoes:

According to the official source, “Olivia co-designed this shoe with Stuart for the “Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares” Collection. All proceeds from the Collection will benefit Dr. Marsha Moses’ pioneering research in ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston, MA. The “Stuart Weitzman Young Hollywood Cares” will be available late August exclusively at Stuart Weitzman flagship boutiques nationwide and on http://www.stuartweitzman.com.”

The next one is the longtime SW-fan, Molly Sims:

Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui has decided to wear one of the brand’s fierce pointy toe pump to the New York premiere of the last season of that epic TV-series:

Jennifer Garner has been spotted wearing these platforms:

Even though it’s still summer, we can’t forget about the next seasons. Here are for pictures of the company’s Fall 2011 campaign:

Any opinions? 🙂

Never enough

17 Nov

Surprisingly, the post with the Lanvin heels that made Gwyneth Paltrow cry did not receive too many comments, so I don’t know your opinion about this case. On the other hand, the picture with Gwyneth and her Lanvin heels had the most clicks during the last weeks, so I guess visitors have been interested in it 🙂

Anyway, another shoe from that very collection has been worn by Julianne Moore. She was smiling just like the other actress, yet we don’t know anything about her relationship with these heels. Let’s just adore this beautiful creation and forget about the fact that it might be painful to wear:

Freckles are cool and cute, okay? 🙂

Next here is a classic pair by Aldo – cheap and good looking, go for it!

Another not-that-expensive brand, Rock & Republic also have a few nice pairs in their webshop 😉

Last but not least, let’s talk about a very special brand. Let’s just say that so far I have seen their shoes only worn by Kat von D, Tila Tequila and now Kim Kardashian, which gives a hint on what kind of shoes these are. To get pictures of these shoes, I had to visit webshops of adult stores and I’ve seen these shoes in person only once – in Camden Town.

Well, this is Bordello and their most popular shoes called “Teeze”:

This pair costs only about $75!

That’s it for now, I hope you enjoyed it!

High heel-a-thon NYC and boots

26 Sep

Let me start with this: the high heel-a-thon is – as far as I know – a charity event and is basically all about having fun and breaking your ankle. Of course, the podium finishers get great prizes, like a new VW Jetta+$10.000 for the winner, $5000 for the runner-up and $2500 for the lady who finishes third.

This years event has been held on the 22nd September, hosted by Kelly Ripa, as usual. This time, also Kristin Chenoweth and AnnaLynne McCord were there, just like Johnny Weir, who participated in the men’s heat (!). 150 yards of fun 😀

Let’s say what some of the participants tweeted about this event:

  • Tomorrow I’m on regis/kelly. Then kelly and I and annalynne do a high heel race. I’m scared.
  • Did high heel (hell) run with Ripa. She is awesome. I came in 190th. Out 500 I think. CERAMI GIRLS saved me
  • Cerami Grils thank you! We were a great team and u held me UP in my Louboutins!
  • I came in last of the celebs! At least I won something! LAST! Hahahahha
  • all I saw was Kelly Ripa’s butt! She is FASt!
  • so glad I didn’t break my neck.
  • via @KChenoweth

Johnny Weir had the following to say about it:

  • I didn’t win the heel-a-thon but I tried my best! So proud that so many came out to run and support a great cause!
  • I looked pretty! I so can’t run in five inch Louboutins. But my calves looked stellar while trotting! Xoxo

About the host, Kelly Ripa:

“I’m going to treat this like any sale at Barneys,” Ripa, who wore 3-inch, T-strap LaDuca dance shoes, joked before the race. “I’ve never worn a heel less than 6 inches [high, so] essentially, I’m running in a sneaker.”

A video about the race:

A similar event has been held in Leeds, UK, today, but that was a 1.5 mile route! If you’re interested, you can read more about that here.

So much about this topic, now I have a few collages about boots for you. These kind of boots have been worn by celebrities in September so far – there are a few ugly ones but thanks Lord nobody wore the Yeti-boots by Chanel so far 😀

Meanwhile, in Germany at Fashion’s Night Out in Berlin (top row):

I hope you’ve had a nice weekend, see you tomorrow!

Atwood and YSL megapost

27 Jul

Because of my trip to London (yay!) I’m not sure when I’ll post again, so I leave you with a massive post of Brian Atwood’s pumps and YSL’s renaissance till then!

Now, the YSL part:

Obviously, YSL shoes have an evolution but also older pairs are worn again. They turned out to be proper classic designs! Are you OK with that or do you think YSL needs to release something new again?

I hope to be able to post on Thursday again, until then, good bye!

PS: If you have any (fashion related) suggestions what I should see in London next week, drop me a line! I know about the ‘Maison Martin Margiela ’20’ ‘ exhibition already, I hope to see something else as well. TY!
