Louboutins and Siren Shoes

20 Oct

In the first part of the post, here are a few Louboutins, just to make sure everybody knows who’s in charge in the world of heels 🙂

I like Gemma’s outfit and the fact that she’s at the opening of a new Selfridges store. I am also amazed by Ciara’s calves, she should share her workout secrets.

The “Lady Peep” pumps worn by JLo seem to be pretty high!

I also like the Louboutin vs. YSL faceoff: Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan.

Keep in mind that Demi’s “Ambertina” costs more than $2.000 – it is available in other striking colors and a glitzy-shiny edition too.

The hit of this summer is undoubtedly this pair, I really like it!

There is an interesting brand out there called Siren Shoes. I’ve visited their online home and I have to say there a lot of nice heels! Here are a few pictures of the store opening:

As the last part of this post, I share a video with you that’s been created by the fab team of Net-a-Porter.

For shoe lovers, it’s a must to watch this (if you haven’t already):

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Hate it or love it

6 May

After a not really popular post, I’m posting what you might have been looking for: shoes, shoes and shoes.

Let’s start with Balenciaga! You might already know that I love their new collection – take a look at Hanh’s post what an experience she had when she wanted to buy a pair! Anyway, the sandals look just as good as those open toe boots.

Officially it’s called the “coffee leather ankle wrap platform sandal” and it costs $995. For those who care about comfort and stability: 5” heel with 1” front platform.

With SATC 2 already in the theatres, demand should shot through the roof for these pumps that SJP wore in the movie.

You can buy it for $830 now, but be aware of the 14,5 cm heel and the 3 cm hidden platform.

I haven’t posted shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood since a while, I post pictures of Ms Blair and SJP that are a few months old, and also new pictures of SJP and Kim, who bought the fiercest pair ever!

The heels by Kirkwood for Rodarte cost around $1750!

Okay, I admit, Kirkwood’s designs might be too crazy sometimes, so let’s slow down a bit and meet a more conservative pair:

14 cm heels, prices around $1415. I thought it would cost far less, but hey, that’s capitalism 🙂

After “slowing down”, I have the sickest design of this year so far for you.

I’ve seen different blogs where many readers expressed their disgust for Versace’s new collection, escpecially about the second pair. As you can see, she dons two different pairs. Well, the latter is definitely super sexy, über-feminine, extremely high (18 cm heel, 7,5 cm platform), way too expensive ($3075), BUT I like how shocking it is. Of course, one has to be able to wear it properly, I guess C is experienced enough.

Someone just please do the Glamour Stiletto Run in these! 😀

That’s all for now, I didn’t want to have too many pictures this time 🙂

THE update

10 Apr

Low bandwith users, be careful…

Hi there, I’m still here, though I had no time to post this week. I know posting doesn’t take too much time usually, but this time, trust me it takes:)

The reason for that is that I’ve made the update I’ve written about here. This update tries to show which shoes are the most popular these days among the (wannabe)famous women. I’m sure the list isn’t full; the pictures that I’ve used for this post have been made between January and the very recent days 🙂

I suppose you click on the images to see all the details; the pictures here are thumbnails compared to the originals.

Let’s start with YSL and it’s oldest hit, the Tribute pump, mentioned here already:

___

Next, it’s the Tribute Platform T-Strap, that is maybe even more successfull than the the TP. I’ve written about them here and here.

___

Now, it’s time for the biggest sensation, the Tribute Double Platform. Posts about this can be found here and here.

___

Now that you have enough of YSL, I change the subject, it’s time for a certain Mr Choo 🙂 You can find the post about the Corsica sandal here and you can see the one with the Glenys by clicking here.

___

Jimmy Choo’s biggest rival, Christian Louboutin has also got returning costumers. Did you think I wouldn’t post anything about le magicien? 🙂 Two sandals, which – now it’s sure – are making the biggest impact this summer are the:

(posted already here) and the

that I have mentioned here (Heidi Klum) and here (Audrina Partridge and Debra Messing).

___

Speaking of platform ankle sandals, I’m sure you remember Gucci‘s hit that I’ve written about here and over here. There are new fans on board! Unfortunately, I couldn’t include any pictures of La C.’s pair, because… 😉

___

Last but not least, I’ve some other shoes which also got in the spotlight during the last few months:

You can see Jordana’s pumps here, Megan’s boots here, Vivica’s Balenciagas here and Rihanna’s marvellous sandals here and here.

___

I hope you enjoyed this little collection, maybe I’ve also encouraged you to buy a pair or two:)
