Please don’t…

29 Aug

Sadly, there have been a lot of fashion mistakes lately…

Nr. 2 and 3: seriously, wtf?

I wonder in which box they’ve found the following shoes. Maybe in the one with a big “Never wear them again” sign on it.

She thought it’s okay to go to national premiere of Salt in these boots…It’s not.

Last one. Looks like either 1. they weren’t informed about the sand or 2. they are plain stupid and don’t know that heels don’t work well with sand.

Actually, these are the last pictures. But I feel like this is a more complicated story.

I never liked clogs. I could tolerate them during the last 2-3 months, I saw a few people who could actually wear them and they looked good (Adele and Taylor, for instance), but not that fall is just around the corner, those who own a pair should say bye to their clogs and put them away. The fashion industry has played a trick on you all, fine, but let’s get over it and move on.

Please.

Thanks for reading, check back tomorrow [if you’ve packed your clogs away 😉 ]!

Bye-bye boots, part 1

20 May

During the following weeks, I’m going to have a few posts dedicated to boots, in which I show many kinds of boots that have been worn this winter/spring. To kick off this series, in this post – mostly unidentified – boots worn back in January this year are on display.

What kind of boots did you wear? Anything close to these?

I have to say I’m not a big fan of the pink pair, but I do like the rest:

(How about Collien’s shirt? Cool right?)

Looking at this collage, you might think again “Okay, I’ve never heard of her!” 🙂

(Even Kanye West knows about Ms Debreczeni…)

Badass girls do it like Fiona and especially Kat von D:

You really thought Kim would be axed from a post?

If you didn’t know how to wear red boots…

(…you won’t see a good example here either, but basically I like the colors)

Sometimes Miley can mess up big time!

The last collage, with Malin showing how it’s done:

Too So many Germans, I know, I know – I just can’t ignore them!

A retrospection can’t be always inspirational, but I hope it confirms that you’ve made the right decision when you’ve bought new boots this winter. You did, right? 🙂

Zee Germans

13 Aug

After a couple of days of absence [there’s so much work and travelling to do these days :S ] I’m back again to make a mega-post again, with a subject that will surprise many of you.

Mainly, because I bet you don’t know the people you’ll see in a few moments 🙂 Since I live in Europe, the German influence is massive in many parts of our everyday life. However, in the case of the shoes, shoe design, it’s a bit different.

It looks like the most famous ladies in the country that gave us Karl Lagerfeld, Jil Sander, Hugo Boss and Escada wouldn’t care that much about high-fashion, especially not about shoes, unlike their colleagues do in France, Britain or even in Italy. Of course, you can see some well-known pair every now and then, but I wonder what the reason behind this phenomenon is.

Now I’m going to show you a lot of German – even if some names don’t sound sooo German – ladies: TV hosts, singers, actresses, models, athletes, society chicks (aka useless people), bands.

I’m really interested in your opinions! How do you like what you see? Did you know any of them?
