Spice up your outfit!

26 May

Much-much later than I expected, finally I’m posting shoes again! As weeks went by, I missed a lot of action, but now I’m trying to make up for it. In this post, there are 10 pairs of shoes which I think really stand out from the crowd.

To begin with, here’s my muse Olivia Wilde and this unique pair by Aperlai:

Ms Wilde was on fire around that time (wildefire, haha), these Brian Atwood heels are one of a kind:

Speaking of Brian Atwood, his summer-ish heels have hit the stores and Emma Roberts decided to don the Bellini:

If Olivia Wilde was on fire, the same goes for Rihanna. Her shoe closet must be growing day by day! Here’s Riri in the thigh-high boots by Christian Louboutin that she wore here before:

These are much more sophisticated shoes by Azzedine Alaia:

Since she’s a real fashionista, one can’t be surprised to see her wearing sandals for Alexander Wang‘s Spring-Summer 2012 collection:

Casadei have upped their game lately. These pumps worn here by Lauren Conrad could remind us of their trademark platform pumps:

Kim Kardashian became a huge fan of the Casadei “Blade” pumps, she posted lost of pictures from that night on her Instagram account.

However, she is still a huge supporter of Christian Louboutin’s work. The “Isolde” is a breathtaking pair for sure:

The Pigalle-based “Un Bout” is a hit this year. Apparently not just Kim, but also Elle MacPherson and Brooklyn Decker like these ankle strap sandals too:

This is for now, I hope you like what you see. Which one is your favorite pair?

Jimmy Choo – Past, present, future

25 Jan

The big Jimmy Choo update has arrived, yay! This post has shoes worn by various celebrities during the last couple of months – these lucky ladies have chosen their footwear from the brand’s Spring-Summer 2011, Fall-Winter 2011 and Cruise 2012 collections.

Let’s start with a pair from the previous and current collection for the summer:

Franziska van Almsick’s pair has summer written all over it, while Alessandra Ambrosio’s Vita (Cruise 2012, 145 mm heel,  colors: nude, black, champagne, price around $730) has become almost a classic already.

Talk about classics! The Lance sandals, worn here by Emmy Rossum when visiting George Lopez last year, are from Jimmy Choo’s 24:7 collection. The heel height is 115 mm, it comes in orange, black, nude, red, gold metallic, silver metallic and in gold snakeskin. Prices range from $670 to $810 (snakeskin).

Part of the Pre-Fall collection is the Blade, worn here by Sylvie van der Vaart. 115 mm heel, comes in black color as well, and it costs around $780.

Greta is one of the shoes of the Icons collection – with 145 mm high heels and a price tag of $1000 it really is one! Emma Watson wore this one perfectly. You can have it in gold and in black.

Up next, this is Eros of the Autumn-Winter 2011 collection. The perfect shoe has caught the eye of both Jennifer Lopez and Sandra Bullock. The facts: $715, 145 mm heel, anthracite or black.

Shakira’s Sierra has 145 mm heels, costs $810 and it’s from the Cruise 2012 collection. FYI, the color is called champagne…Vanessa Minnillo’s Esam is from the AW 2011 collection, has 145 mm heels too, comes in nude and black, and costs a whopping $1500!

Now that we’ve reached the Cruise collection, here’s a campaign photo. I totally like it!

The pair called Beak is part of the collection, Stacy Keibler wore it when she visited Jimmy Fallon a few days ago.

Its color is defined as fuchsia, has 110 mm heels, costs $780.

The next one is the Surf, which has 120 mm heels, comes in nude color and will hurt your pocket as it costs $1350:

Thumbs up for Amanda Seyfried, good choice!

One pair really stands out from the crowd in my opinion, this are the wedge heeled sandals called Biel. The 110 mm high heels should not drive you crazy thanks to the design. You have few of colors to choose from though: blue or orange for $550, white with gold metallic heel for $580.

Brooklyn Decker wore both the Biel and the Anouk (120 mm, red, blue, black for $520, black  & white for $680):

Last but not least here’s Katy Perry and the fabulous Vibe. I think she really wanted people to notice her heels, and by getting them in blue and wearing with this dress she obviously find the way to get the attention:

That’s all at the moment, I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully you also have your mind set on at least one of these pairs 🙂

From Aldo to Zanotti

4 Aug

In today’s post, there are shoes for everyone: pumps, sandals, wedges. This summer it looks like wedges are really popular (that’s my impression on the streets), and actually I am happy about it! For this reason, let’s start with one of them.

It’s called Affina and it’s made by Aldo, which means you don’t have to sell an organ in order to buy a pair: you can get yours for $90 or even less! It’s 4 inches high, comes in dark brown and beige:

Apart from the shoes, I like the whole look of Jessica Lowndes this time.

Moving on, here’s another pocket-friendly shoe, worn here by Tila Tequila:

This one by Chinese Laundry comes only in black and white colors, and its price is around $120.

Transition in prices might not be flawless as we skip everything and land at Christian Louboutin. The Pigalili pumps that Brooklyn Decker wore at the ESPY Awards in July is a real beauty, I love the details!

The heel is 12 cm/5 inches high, and it costs a whopping $3.545!

Up next, two pairs by Salvatore Ferragamo. These pumps are real classics by now: simple design, solid materials, classy look. What else do you need?

Spanish actress Paz Vega:

The lovely Jayma Mays:

Now you’ve reached the end of the post with “only” shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti left. God, these wedges, I’m in love!

Vanessa Hudgens:

Kim Kardashian:

Looks like vertically challenged ladies love extremely high wedges!

Which one do you like to most? Are there any that you wouldn’t wear even if they were for free?
