I hope you enjoy the holidays!
I’ll get back on track in January, I promise đ
It’s been exactly two years since I’ve started blogging. Back then, I did not know for how long I would do it and today, I still have no idea how long I’ll keep posting shoes seen on various celebrities and pictures of models. But I do know that these two years have been fun, I’ve got to “know” a lot of awesome and very friendly people [that’s you, fellow blogger(ina)].
Thanks for your inspiring posts over at your blogs which widen my horizon (in more ways than you imagine), and thanks for your feedback on my little blog.
I’ve waited until today to launch the Facebook page of “The High Heel Times” – click here to open it in a new tab.
During these two years, a lot has happened. As of today, the blog have had 370.000 visitors and there now 282 post in 18 categories with 923 tags and 1725 comments. The most popular tags of these 923 are:
The top referrers in the last year were Passion Louboutin and The Shoe Girl. This fact, seeing the topic of our blogs, is not much of a surprise đ
The top 10 search terms in the last 365 days were: “high heel times”, “julie benz”, “olivia wilde”, “the high heel times”, “alessandra ambrosio”, “blake lively”, “vida guerra”, “jeanette biedermann high heels”, “poppy montgomery”, “marisa miller” (in this particular order). I think this says a lot as well đ

Now I’d like to see the opinion of those few of you who regularly visit my blog. I would like to know: what would you like to see on the blog more often? I did not create a poll with options, sorry – there are so many options I didn’t want to leave out anything. So, if you have a particular request or suggestion, critics, anything, please feel free to tell it!

Last but not least, guess what, I have a few pictures for you. No collages this time, but promotional pictures – they are so glamorous that they are appropriate for this special post đ
Desperate Housewives Season 7 Promo aka everything a shoe addict could ask for!
Christian Louboutin, Brian Atwood, Sergio Rossi…
Thanks for visiting and reading, have a nice weekend!

1. Saks Fifth Avenue Celebrates Fashion’s Night Out
“On September 10th, Saks Fifth Avenue will transform its New York flagship into fashionâs ultimate rock ânâ party, in celebration of Fashionâs Night Out.”
There will be a lot of activities with a few designers, models and celebrities invited, I mention parts of the press release here:

Their statement says, “The website showcases the merchandise with modern details like 360 degree rotation with zoom, in motion video featuring styles on a model, fit and care tips as well as trend boutiques. 3. News from Jimmy Choo and the renaissance of the pointy toe
Though summer might be over, one could use these pairs on nights that aren’t too cold:

During the Fall/Winter shows this spring, we could see that pointy toe pumps will be having a renaissance. Prada, Giles, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and a few more brands decided to bring it back. We could say it’s official since Jane of Sea of Shoes already showed her pair by Prada.
In case you don’t like these brands, you could buy your pair at Jimmy Choo:
or at Stuart Weitzman:

4. Indirect shoe ads
The best place to promote shoes, however, must be television. No wonder that guests in various talk shows appear always pretty, wearing trendy shoes. Here’s a little compilation of them.
Kim Cattrall on Fallon wearing Brian Atwood:
Scarlett Johansson on Leno wearing Christian Louboutin:
Amber Valletta on Lopez wearing Nicholas Kirkwood:
Kim Kardashian on Leno wearing YSL:
Kim also uses Twitter very well to promote herself in the first line and this time also Christian Louboutin. You can see her in this outfit on the new cover of Prestige magazine.
Emma Roberts on Leno back in February, HQ picture:
Jessica Alba in HQ as well:
Megan Fox on Leno wearing Sergio Rossi, HQ picture:
A high quality picture of her having a good time with Conan:
That’s all for now, have a nice weekend!

At the very same event:
Louie Spence is rather special, isn’t he? Check out this  video đ
Okay, I’ll stop with this, let’s talk about shoes again to make this post spectacularly well balanced đ
Like here’s this pair by Report Signature for only $130. It’s lovely, I suggest you go for it!
Up next, a somewhat more expensive pair:
Btw, does any of you know for what reason she was invited to the Emmys? I couldn’t figure it out.
The last pair in this post is the following one:
I like Whitney’s makeup; she looks a bit different than she did a few years ago anyway, but I like her glam style.
