It’s flip flop time again!

3 Jun

I know, this blog is supposed to be all about high heels, but here we are on the third of June, it is officially summer out there – we can’t go past the topic of the never-aging flip flops without mentioning them.

This post should be special anyway, because it is the 101st post, definitely a new era πŸ™‚

Ladies, you can put your marvellous, yet sometimes painful heels on hold now, let’s take a look inside the C O M F O R T-zone πŸ˜€

In footwear and fashion, flip-flops (also known as Hawaii Chappals in India, thongs’ in Australia, slip-slops in South Africa, jandals in New Zealand and the South Pacific, slippers, pluggers, go-aheads or chancletas.), are a flat, backless, sandal consisting of a flat sole held loosely on the foot by a Y-shaped strap, like a thin thong, that passes between the first (big) and second toes and around either side of the foot. They appear to have been developed based on traditional Japanese woven or wooden soled sandals.

One may call LC’s footwear sandals, but “some include a strap along the back heel.

“Basically, flip flops are all the same” – are they?

The collage in the middle has been found somewhere in the web, credit to the artist!

Without close-ups: you can still see it’s even okay for the red carpet [yet I don’t suggest it. Alessandra Ambrosio and all the celebrities reading this blog (lol), when attending an event, stick to the heels πŸ˜‰ ]

You actually thought I wouldn’t post any pictures of Kim this time. Naive, haha! I guess she had a pedi, note the Zanottis on her hands!

I hope this post came as a surprise, next time I’ll be back with high heels though.

/Dexter still can’t believe that somebody actually took the time to write an article about the flip-flops at wikipedia

Love Ashley T’s dress, the print is perfect for summer.

Also love Megan Fox, Ali Landry and Christine Lakin’s looks.

I own a few pairs of flip flops myself and they’re a summer staple!

    xo

Flip flops are my fav in the summer…heels at the beach just dont work.

I figure with the online dating thing…at least I’ll get some good stories, and if it’s THAT terrible I don’t have to continue. Always up for an adventure though. πŸ™‚

    XOXO

I’ve tried avoiding flipflops at one point in time, but it’s inevitable! Haha – I try to go for sandals, or bejeweled flipflops!

    Bisous,

If I’m gonna do a flip flop, it needs to have a wedge. Nice post though πŸ™‚
