Spice up your life

24 Mar

To be honest, I had an other topic in mind to post about today, but I saw some pictures and I knew I had to change my mind. Nothing special, it’s just that a Louis Vuitton post delays a Christian Louboutin:)

By now, we all know about LV’s tribal Spring-Summer ’09 collection, and about the existance of the Spicy Sandals, which I’ve already mentioned here (PB restores the pictures only on the 28th, grrr…). However, as time has passed, it became even more popular (yes, there are people out there who gave like $2000 for a pair like this): these shoes were the highlight of the Paris Fashion Week .

(I’ve borrowed the latter image from the Hapsical London Fashion blog.)

Back in January, the ever beautiful Laetitia Casta wore these shoes too. No wonder, she did the LV ad campaign for the F/W collection. Maybe she’s going to let you lick her lollipop too 🙂

The pictures that made me post about LV earlier than I planned are featured in the following collage.  The girl, Zsédenyi Adrienn is a Hungarian singer (actually, she’s got a good voice). I know LV is getting more and more popular in the country, but I am surprised to see her being the first one in Hungary to have a pair; I didn’t know she ia shoe addict (non-shoe addicts don’t buy shoes in the worth of a summer holiday). The pictures were taken a few days ago at the Glamour Women of the Year awards, and the small guy in the middle is Gabor Talmacsi.

After presenting these shoes officially on the blog, I have to ask you: what do you think about the Spicy sandals?

I also have the pleasure to present yet another award, which I recieved from the lovely Janetteria (“The award is for sites that demonstrate great attitude and/or attitude in general”). Thank you!

I’ve chosen the following 10 bloggerinas who I think really deserve it:

Captivate Me

Inside Mode

La Coquette

Mlle La Cee 🙂

Miss Glitzy

Tasty Inspirations

The girls of The Shoe Goddess

The Tea Drinking English Rose

Velvet Rock n’Roll

Vintage Tea

Thanks so much sweetie–I can’t wait to pass it on! These shoes are so absurdly wild. I’m kinda liking the way they look on though…ahh, I think I just like any shoe with at least a 4.5″ heel 🙂

Thanks again, it’s a lovely award. I’ll post it asap. About the Spicy sandals, definitely, even if I don’t like the word, “it shoes”!
